Regis College’s Marshall M. Sloane School of Business and Communication offers an online Master of Arts in Digital Marketing Communication that is designed for professionals interested in leading digital media campaigns for diverse organizations in both the corporate and non-profit spaces. Students have the option of specializing in either Nonprofit Communication or Sports Communication, and can also opt for a general Digital Marketing Communication emphasis that allows them greater flexibility in choosing their electives. Regis College uses Zoom to facilitate course lectures and real-time discussions, and incorporates a variety of interactive digital technologies for students to discuss, collaborate, and access faculty support asynchronously outside of classes.

The MA in Digital Marketing Communication consists of 30 credits divided across core courses and track-specific courses. Regardless of their chosen track within the program, all students complete the same core courses: Marketing Strategies, Digital Branding and Strategy, Data Analytics and Communication Research Methods, Fundamentals of Communication Theory, Business Communications for Managers, and Storytelling and Engagement. Through these courses, students gain foundational and advanced knowledge of marketing research, customer relationship-building, brand identity development and refinement, search engine optimization, leveraging AI, data analytics for digital media, management communication, new media, and storytelling through social media.

Upon completing their core courses, students proceed to their track-specific classes. Students who choose the Nonprofit Track take courses in Nonprofit Communication and Grant Writing before selecting a third course in Communication Across Differences; Public and Private Disasters: Crisis Communication; or Health Communications. The Sports Track includes courses in Sports Communication, Sports Marketing and Advertising, and Sports Reporting. Students who opt for the general track can tailor their coursework after the core courses to match their interests in nonprofit, sport, and health communication.

The culminating experience for the program is a capstone practicum and final reflection paper. Through their practicum, students gain hands-on experience in a real work setting that is relevant to their chosen focus in the program, i.e. sports communication, nonprofit communication, or digital marketing communication. During their practicum work, students receive guidance and support from a supervisor and program faculty. After they complete their practicum, students write a reflective paper that discusses their experiences interning at their chosen site and what they have learned in the practical application of the concepts and methods they covered in their coursework.

Regis College maintains regional accreditation through the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE).
