The School of Business & Digital Media at Georgian Court University (GCU) offers a fully online Master of Science (MS) in Communication & Digital Marketing program jointly through its Department of Communication, Graphic Design, and Multimedia and its Department of Business Administration. The program’s curriculum combines coursework in business management and marketing with training and instruction in communication strategies and the creative use of digital media technologies. The program is 100% online and does not require any campus visits.

GCU’s MS in Communication & Digital Marketing program consists of ten courses that confer 30 graduate credits and that can be completed in as few as 12 months by students who enroll on a full-time basis. The program also allows for part-time enrollment, which doubles the time to completion to two years. Students in the program complete a Campaign Planning & Management capstone course in which they design a digital marketing and communication business plan, as well as a Special Topics in Communication & Digital Marketing course in which they apply what they have learned in the program to a self-directed, faculty-supervised project.

The MS in Communication & Digital Marketing program is designed to prepare students for a wide range of careers in business and communication fields, including brand management, digital marketing design and strategy, and social media analytics. The program’s coursework covers topics in digital content creation, data-driven decision-making, brand management, legal and ethical concerns in modern media, and how consumers interact with digital platforms, as well as case studies in digital communication and marketing.

In addition to the Campaign Planning & Management and Special Topics in Communication & Digital Marketing courses that students take at the end of the program, students in the program are required to complete eight graduate courses. These courses include: Integrated Marketing Communication; Digital Storytelling; Digital Marketing; Creativity & Innovation; Brand Strategy in the Digital Age; Media Law & Ethics; User-Centered Design; and Digital Media Analytics & Customer Research.
